Greece: Wednesday, October 3, 2012, at age 92. Predeceased by his son, Edward J. Orlando; brothers, Peter and Jerry Orlando; sisters, Olga Chafel, Virginia Orlando. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Josephine Orlando; sons, Robert (Sandra Kyle) Orlando, Richard (Lisa) Orlando; daughter-in-law, Antonia Orlando; grandchildren, Gia, Mark, Alexa, Cameron, Jenna, Justin and Amy; sister, Carmella Nuccitelli, sister-in-law, Ann Orlando; many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. Ed was a superintendent at A.W. Hopeman and Son for over 30 years, where he oversaw many construction projects including University of Rochester, St. Mary's Hospital, Strong Museum, St. Thomas the Apostle Church and St. Charles Borromeo Church. He was also a Navy Veteran of WWII.
Friends may call FRIDAY from 4-8PM at the DiPonzio Funeral Home, Inc., 219 Spencerport Rd., Gates. On Saturday morning, October 6, friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass at 11:00 in Holy Name of Jesus Church (Bonesteel St.). Entombment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Journey Home, 994 Long Pond Rd., Rochester, NY 14626 in his memory.
