Spencerport: Tuesday, November 17, 2015, at age 70. Predeceased by his father and mother, John and Mary Uttaro. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Julia (Shields) Uttaro; daughters, Andrea (Robert) Layton, Erica Uttaro; grandsons, Nicholas and Justin Layton; brother, Andrew Uttaro; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, George (Barb), David, John (Martha), Chris (Cheryl), Herbert (Jill) and Robert (Kay) Shields; loving cousins, Rosalyn, Gayla, Marie, Frank, Jerry, Andrea, Anthony, Pam, Mary and Gary; several nieces, nephews; his faithful dogs, Patches and Princess.. John was a retiree of RG&E and an Army Veteran.
Friends may call FRIDAY from 4-7PM at the DiPonzio Funeral Home, Inc., 219 Spencerport Road, Gates. On Saturday morning, November 21, friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass at 9:00 in St. John Evangelist Church of Spencerport (Amity St. and Martha St.). Interment, private.
