Hearn, Frances D. (DiPerno)
Rochester: in Sarasota on Saturday, January 23, 2016, at age 92. Predeceased by her husband, Robert J. Hearn; parents, Frank and Anna DiPerno; sisters, Florence Simone, Eliza Tramonto, Theresa Schiano, Mary Tramonto; brother, Ralph DiPerno; dear friend, Lewis McMullen. She is survived by her sons, James (Susan) Hearn, Keith Hearn of OH, Robert (Lori) Hearn of FL; 8 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; sisters, Anna Abbamonte, Dorothy (Sam) Poletta; many loving nephews, nieces and dear friends.
Fran was a Registered Professional Nurse who completed her School of Nursing at the Rochester General Hospital. After graduation, she enlisted in the United States Army as a general duty nurse during WWII where she became a 2nd Lt. at Fort Sam Houston, and received the WWII Victory Medal. After raising her family, she went to work at Eastman Kodak Company as an Industrial Nurse and later retired to spend time with her husband. She enjoyed reading, knitting, crocheting, spending time with family, traveling and camping. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Fran will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Friends may call FRIDAY from 3-7PM at the DiPonzio Funeral Home, Inc., 219 Spencerport Rd., Gates. On Saturday morning, all are invited to attend her Funeral Mass at 9:00 in St. Jude’s Church. Interment, White Haven Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Honor Flight Rochester, Inc., PO Box 23581, Rochester, NY 14692 or to National Kidney Foundation, 310 Packett’s Landing, Fairport, NY 14450 in her memory.
