Greece: March 12, 1932 - Friday March 11, 2016, surrounded by her loving family at age 83. Predeceased by her infant daughters, Brenda & Gail; parents, Angela (Terra) Kiefer & Albert Kiefer; sister, Joyce A. Lodato; son-in law, Monte LeBlanc. She is survived by her children, Gary (Beth McLean) Keenan, Richard (Lori) Keenan, Deborah LeBlanc, Kathleen (David) Cannon, Donna (Paul) Hardmeyer; grandchildren who were the light of her life, Michael LeBlanc, Angela (fiancé Richard Malizia) LeBlanc, Pamela (Christopher Popielarz) LeBlanc, Matthew (Jamie) Keenan, Christopher Keenan, Zachary Hardmeyer; great-granddaughter, Cecily Popielarz; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins & friends.
Doris retired after a long career at Eastman Kodak Company. A devoted, loving mother and grandmother to her family, she opened her heart, home, and arms to others throughout her life. She was called “Mom” & “Gram” by so many people who passed through her life and her greatest pleasure came from time spent with them. She used her talents to create beautiful knitted garments for her family, friends and charities throughout the community. Doris instilled a great love for the Lord in all her children and had special devotions to St. Jude and St. Anthony of Padua.
Friends may call WEDNESDAY 3:00-7:00 PM at DiPonzio Funeral Home Inc., 219 Spencerport Road, Gates. On Thursday, March 17, all are invited to attend her Funeral Mass at 9:30 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 3003 Dewey Ave. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Melita House, 198 Oriole Street, Rochester, NY 14613 in her memory.
