Rochester: Wednesday, November 23, 2016, at age 70. Predeceased by his mother, Helen Gruttadauria; nephew, Steven Blahyj; cousin, Lori Petrella-Reitter. He is survived by his children, Michael J. Gruttadauria of FL, Alicia (Paul) Soulis of FL, Melanie Gibson of TX; grandchildren, Kayla Gruttadauria, Berlyn and Brianna Gibson; father, Michael L. Gruttadauria; sisters, Leslie (Russell) Licata, Katherine (Mike) DiNapoli; special loving aunt and uncle, Marion Petrella, Patrick (Vella) Bianchi; special devoted cousin, Sandra Petrella; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Mike was an active member within the Sacred Heart Cathedral Community and was an avid golfer, bowler and fisherman.
Friends may call SUNDAY from 1-5PM at the DiPonzio Funeral Home, Inc., 219 Spencerport Rd., Gates. On Monday morning, November 28, all are invited to attend his Funeral Mass at 10:30 in Sacred Heart Cathedral. Entombment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Cathedral Community, 296 Flower City Park, Rochester, NY 14615 or to CURE Childhood Cancer, 200 Westfall Road, Rochester, NY 14620 in his memory.
