Newport Beach, CA: Sunday, February 5, 2017, at age 94. Predeceased by his wife, Mary (Faiello) Tarantello; daughter-in-law, Sue Ellen Tarantello; brothers, Anthony, Dominic and Frank Tarantello. He is survived by his children, Rocky Tarantello (fiancee, Jacqueline Lakocy), Nancy Ann Tarantello; grandchildren, Theodore (Jaimee) O’Connor, Lauren (Patrick McGill) Tarantello, Garrett O’Connor, Kelly Tarantello, Ashley Marie O’Connor all of CA; great grandchildren, Theodore Rocco and Vincent O’Connor; sister, Eleanor Cocuzzi; many nieces and nephews. Mr. Tarantello was an Army Air Corps Veteran of WWII.
Friends may call SUNDAY from 2-4PM at the DiPonzio Funeral Home, Inc., 219 Spencerport Road, Gates. On Monday, February 13, all are invited to attend his Funeral Mass at 12:00 Noon at St. Mary’s Church, 95 N. Main St., Canandaigua. Interment at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Pluta Cancer Center, 125 Red Creek Drive, Rochester, NY 14623 or to Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675-8517 in his memory. Rocco’s family would like to thank the doctors and staff at the Canandaigua VA Medical Center Unit 8A for their loving and compassionate care.
