Greece: Monday, February 12, 2018, at age 92. Predeceased by his wife, Carole Van de Mortel; brothers, Edward, Harry and Lawrence Van de Mortel; sister, Margaret Pike. He is survived by his children, Gary (Joy) Van de Mortel of VA, Linda Van de Mortel; grandson, Josh Steffensen of VA; sister, Virginia Buck; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Fran Meyers; many nieces and nephews. Don was a retiree of Eastman Kodak Co. and an Army Veteran of WWII.
Friends may call MONDAY from 1-4PM at the DiPonzio Funeral Home, Inc., 219 Spencerport Road, Gates. Funeral services Tuesday morning, February 20, at 10:00 in the funeral home. Interment, Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Humane Society at Lollypop Farm, 99 Victor Road, Fairport, NY 14450 in his memory.
