Irondequoit: Saturday, May 19, 2018, at age 88. Predeceased by his parents, Saverio and Anna Adele Salemme; brothers, Giuseppe and Antonio Salemme; sisters, Benedetta Spinosa and Civita DiCecca. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Elisa (DiCiaccio) Salemme; children, Saverio “Rino” (Gina) Salemme, Maria (Anthony) Sutera, Joseph (Angela) Salemme, Anthony (Jennifer) Salemme; grandchildren, Jack Salemme, Andrea (Ryan) Brennan, Michael Salemme, Catherine Sutera (fiancé, Joshua Marchner), Philip Sutera (fiancée, Rivka Greenfeld), Sophia and Anthony Salemme, Joey Sulli, Giacomo Salemme; great grandchildren, Brayden and Claire Brennan; sisters, Liberina Lecesse of Italy, Rose (Theodore) Boccuzzi, Maria (Cosmo) Viola; brother-in-law, Cosmo (Ada) DiCiaccio of Italy; many nieces, nephews and cousins, Mr. Salemme was a retiree of Eastman Kodak Co., a member of the Sicilian Sport Club and the Serapo Social Club.
Friends may call THURSDAY from 4-8 PM at the DiPonzio Funeral Home, Inc., 219 Spencerport Rd., Gates. On Friday morning, May 25, all are invited to attend his Funeral Mass at 11:00 at St. Kateri Parish at Christ the King Church. Entombment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Wilmot Cancer Center, 601 Elmwood Ave., Rochester, NY 14642 in his memory.
