Obituary for Christine M. Baliva (Palermo)

Christine M. Baliva (Palermo)
Baliva, Christine

Gates: It is with heavy hearts and mournful sorrow that we say goodbye to Christine Baliva. Christine passed away on May 25, 2018, after fighting cancer with her usual strength, grace, and beauty. She was the glue that held everything together in good times and bad times. Christine was unmatched in brilliance and wit, and her organizational skills were legendary. Our lives are forever touched by her brief time on this earth.
Christine was born on June 4, 1964 in Rochester, NY, and grew up in Webster, New York. After marrying the love of her life, Rino Baliva in 1986, they moved to Gates where they had two sons whom she adored.
Christine was predeceased by mother in law Giuseppina Baliva and cherished terrier, Cosmo. She is survived by her beloved husband, Rino Baliva, sons Francesco Baliva (Le Thi Mong Tien) and Santino Baliva (Cassia Kuhn); mother Constantina Noun, father John Palermo; sisters Joanne Kyriakides, Catherine Palermo (William Root) and Jennifer Reitano; nephew Anthony Kyriakides; in-laws Francesco and Carmela Baliva, Concettina Baliva; best friend Nancy Bellina (Louis Bellina); cousins Augusta and Bruno Tiberi and their children, Daniel, Bruno (Shayna), and Lucy. We will meet you again, our beloved Christine, but until that time we want you to know we love you forever.
Friends may call FRIDAY from 4-8PM at the DiPonzio Funeral Home, Inc., 219 Spencerport Road, Gates. On Saturday morning, June 2, all are invited to attend her funeral services at 10:30 at the All Saints Mausoleum at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
