Gates: After a brief illness on Friday, June 1, 2018, at age 75. Predeceased by his father and mother, John and Mary Donato; niece, Kim Marie Richard; in-laws, James and Frances Mancuso. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Jeanette Donato; children, Stephen (Mary Ann) Donato, Tracy (Keith) Wiest; beloved grandchildren, Lt. Nicholas Donato (USAF), Alyssa Donato, Shaylyn Wiest; beloved sister, Janice (William) Richard; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, David and Maureen Mancuso; many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Ron was a Navy Veteran of the Vietnam Era, a member of the Doud Post American Legion, the Caltanissetta Club and the Jefferson Lunch Buddies. He was an avid New York Giants fan and a retiree of General Motors.
Friends may call SUNDAY from 1-5PM at the DiPonzio Funeral Home, Inc., 219 Spencerport Road, Gates. On Monday morning, June 4, all are invited to attend his Funeral Mass at 9:30 In St. Theodore’s Church. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center, c/o Lifetime Care, 3111 S. Winton Rd., Rochester, NY 14623 in his memory.
