Gates: Tuesday, June 24, 2014, at age 70. Predeceased by his father and mother, Giovanni and Rosetta Zava. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Kathleen (Damiano) Zava; daughters, Patricia Zava (Glenda Lee Rosado), Mary (David) Bruno, Kristin Zava (Gary Stenshorn); grandchildren, Jeremiah, Gabrielle, Giovanna, Michelina, Kathleen, Sophia, Isabella and Emily; brothers, Fred (Susan) Zava, Dino (Carol) Zava, Carl Zava; sister, Angela (Steve) Palermo; brother-in-law, Philip Damiano; many nieces and nephews. Mr. Zava was a retiree of RG&E and an Army Veteran.
Friends may call SUNDAY from 1-5 PM at the DiPonzio Funeral Home, Inc., 219 Spencerport Road, Gates. On Monday, June 30, friends are invited to attend his Memorial Funeral Mass at 10:00AM in St. Jude's Church, 4100 Lyell Rd. Interment, private. in lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, PO Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38104 or to Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center, 2652 Ridgeway Ave., Rochester, NY 14626 in his memory.
