Obituary for Rosemarie A. Muscolino (Nasca)

Rosemarie A. Muscolino (Nasca)
Muscolino, Rosemarie (Nasca)
Rochester: Thursday, July 19, 2018, at age 83. Predeceased by her husband, Arthur J. Muscolino; parents, Ignatius and Grace Nasca. She is survived by her children, Arthur A. (Mary Jo) Muscolino, Grace Dean; grandchildren, Jessica (Jeremy) Goodison, Joelle Muscolino, R.J. Williams, Ben Muscolino (Caitlin Simpson), Randy Book (fiancée, Jessiey), Chad Book, Jonathan Dean, Jr.; several great grandchildren; brother, Gerald F. (Sandy) Nasca; sister, Phyllis (Anthony Jr.) DiRose; many nieces and nephews; special friends, Mary Jane Dellfava, Sister Jacqueline Robinson, SSJ, and Susan Sak. Mrs. Muscolino was a retired early childhood education teacher from the Diocese of Rochester.
Born August 4, 1934 in Rochester, NY, Rosemarie was the matriarch of a large, loud, loving family that will miss her cooking, guidance, and quick wit. Married to the love of her life, Arthur, for 59 years, they created a family full of pride and conviction, with value placed on kindness and caring for others. Their favorite place to travel was to Aruba, where a palapa and lounge chairs were always on reserve for them and a trip to the Donkey Sanctuary was a must. Rosemarie spent much of her life as a beloved early childhood teacher for the Rochester Catholic Diocese School System where she made lifelong friends and a lasting impression on her students. Her career spanned over 4 decades and to this day, “Mrs. Muscolino” is still everyone’s favorite teacher. Her unconditional love for children made her own children, grand- and great grandchildren even more precious to her. She made sure to surround herself with their smiles, hugs, and laughter every moment she had the chance. At the age of 79, she became a mother again – to a four-legged son – a personality filled shih Tzu named Ralph(ie), who snuggled loyally at her side until her battle with AML ended.
Friends may call MONDAY from 4-8PM at the DiPonzio Funeral Home, Inc., 219 Spencerport Road, Gates. On Tuesday, July 24, all are invited to attend her Funeral Mass at 11:15AM at St. Theodore’s Church, 168 Spencerport Rd. Interment, Holy Ghost Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Wilmot Cancer Center, 601 Elmwood Ave., Rochester, NY 14642 in her memory.
