Memories of Juanita
Will always remember the summer vacation you took care of me and my sister. I was 7 and followed Lorriane around. You'd let me brush your hair and read your Archie comic books. Taught me a good lesson when I stole guest soaps from the medicine cabinet. Made such an impression, I never took anything again. I was so ashamed when you said, "If only you had asked, I would have given them to you..."
Loved your music. Thanks to you, we heard great rock & roll--much more than the white music on the radio. Remember the fun of gathering in the basement to dance to Little Richard, Chuck Berry, and Billy Haley & the Comets. Will never forget the way you screamed when Elvis first appeared on Ed Sullivan--you were his biggest fan.
While our family on Earth mourns, Uncle Jim, my mother, Aunt Meta & Uncle Bonu, Aunt Lucy & Uncle Sam, Duke, Lucille, Uncle Mike & Aunt Jean, Uncle Tony and Aunt Thelma, and Grandma & Grandpa are having a joyful reunion. Wait...I think I hear Uncle Jim calling to boil the water--the corn's ready!
